Please feel free to use these intercessory prayers to accompany the “congregation of the week” prayer list.  These prayers were written and shared by Pr. George Mathews, Jr. (Trinity, Clarks Summit, PA).

 

In addition, the following may be run in your weekly bulletin as an explanation of why there are prayers for other congregations.  It will need to be updated weekly with the new name and city/state of the highlighted congregation.

 

PRAYERS FOR A PARTICULAR CONGREGATION within the Atlantic Mission Region of the North American Lutheran Church are being offered each week during the liturgies of the forty-two congregations of the mission region.  This week we are remembering in prayer the people, ministries and congregation of (congregation of the week)  Lutheran Church in (city and state).
